Spot the Jader

Here's a fun game for you all to play. Imagine our surprise when opening our copy of the local rag to see a photo of a Blue J'Ader sticking out like a sore thumb on liberation day.

So the challenge - can you spot them? (click for bigger)

Of course you can - you'll also note that the passers by are giving him a wide berth, probably fearful that in the commotion they'd get a winch handle upside the head.

Yes - it is our ever dependent, pipe smoking, boat breaking winch man Martin...

Here he is!

Heather's Herm Rescue

It's Sunday. I have Mother - in - Law arriving for lunch in half an hour. Frantic phone call from Heather who is stranded in Herm after a mix up with the ferries........ HELP!! So I ring Mick to see if he is up for a rescue mission. He is busy polishing his beloved Land Rover but is up for it. We meet at the Jade and set off...its freezing out on the water. A successful fly by in the harbour sees Heather and friends safely on board and back we come to civilisation. One small problem though... Mick had applied wax to half his Land Rover and now has to try to polish it up after freezing. Late lunch was excellent and Mother - in- law enjoyed the story. Just another story in the legend that is the Jade........

A special visitor

Blue J'Ade had a special visitor recently, and had to hurry around the course to make sure he wasn't late for an appearance at the club.

Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas from the J'Ade...

Message from the foredeck...

Photoshop evidence!

I was being half facetious when I said that the Tour des Ports race advert was clearly photoshopped.

But - conclusive proof!

Compare this photo with the Tour Des Ports leaflet I posted yesterday, and see how there's nary a spinaker in sight!

Conclusive proof that nobody beats the J'Ade

Tour des Ports

New Tour des Ports flyer is out. Looks like a pretty familiar boat!

I reckon those other boats in the background are photoshopped in - only explanation for them being ahead of the mighty J'Ade.
